OUR MINISTRIES

Actively practicing our faith is an important part of St. Paul’s.  We are guided by the Gospel to serve our community and offer the following:

Community Breakfast: Since 1999, this breakfast has been served the 2nd-5th Saturday’s from 8-9:30 a.m.  Members and friends prepare and serve breakfast to any in the community who attend.  St. Paul’s team serves the 2nd Saturday of each month, teams from partner churches sere the other Saturdays.  Helpers are always welcome and can arrive between 6:30 and 7:00 a.m.  Contributions for and of food and clothing are always welcome.

English for Speakers of Other Languages: Classes are offered for any non native speaker who wishes to learn.  Mon – Thurs., 9:30 a.m. to noon.  Conversation partners and volunteer instructors are needed.

Partners for Wichita: An opportunity to connect with other faith communities and helping organizations and together pursue peace and wellbeing in the Wichita area.  In February group gathers personal care items for “Bags of Blessings”.  Safe Streets works to build peace in innovative ways including building collaborations working to prevent drug and alcohol addiction.

Mision San Juan de Dios: We partner with this lively Spanish – speaking Lutheran congregation which meets at St. Paul’s on Sundays at 12:30 p.m. and on Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. Their Pastor is the Rev. Ivan Gonzalez.  Contact him at ivanaug@yahoo.com or phone.

Food Pantry: St. Paul’s Food Pantry is now open the 4th Wednesday of each month. We are offering non-perishable food items to individuals and families from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. once a month. We invite people to donate non-perishable foods and have placed a box in the narthex to receive donations. Contact Diana Brunswig-Bosso or Nina MorrisLooney or Elaine Harvey if you would like to volunteer on distribution days or in keeping the pantry in order.
